Los Angeles, California – (06/06/2024) - Mitico has joined Class 4 of the Rice Alliance Clean Energy Accelerator—Houston’s preeminent clean energy startup accelerator.
The accelerator invites promising, transformative global energy tech startups to participate in an annual program that kicks off in July in Houston. Once in the program, startups have access to 70+ industry experts and successful entrepreneurs serving as mentors, as well as a dedicated leadership team including four Executives-in-Residence, who bring extensive field expertise and will provide personalized guidance and mentorship.
Selected from an impressive pool of global applicants, Mitico will join 11 others in the fourth cohort of the accelerator. Collectively, these startups are driving innovation in advanced materials, carbon management, digital tech, energy efficiencies, hydrogen, solar, and corrosion detection.
“Our participation in this prestigious accelerator will help us refine and scale-up our business model and products offering for small and large industrial emitters,”
— Clément Cid Ph.D., Mitico CEO and co-founder.
Demo Day will be hosted in Houston on September 12th as part of the Inaugural Energy and Climate Startup Week in Houston.
About Mitico
Mitico offers state-of-the-art services and equipment to capture carbon dioxide (CO2). Our patent-pending granulated metal carbonate sorption technology (GMC) developed at Caltech captures over 95% of the CO2 emitted from post-combustion point sources (flue gases), including gas-fired power plants and boilers, and waste-to-energy and biomass-to-energy facilities. We are able to enable carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) as a service at a low cost.
